Meet the Team

Carla Walker-Miller
President and CEO

Carla Walker-Miller is an analytical and strategic businesswoman with an eye for innovation and growth and over 20 years of energy industry experience. In 2000, after 18 years of corporate experience, she formed Walker-Miller Energy Services (WMES), LLC. The Detroit based firm designs and implements energy efficiency solutions for utility, residential and commercial clients.

Ms. Walker-Miller is determined to bring underserved populations into the critical energy dialogue and promotes energy efficiency as foundational to our energy futures.

As her company has quickly evolved, WMES was recently recognized as the 2015 Best Small Business in Southeast Michigan by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC), awarded 2015 Woman-Owned Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the 2015 Business of the Year by Michigan League Conservation Voters (MLCV). She has also appeared in FORTUNE, EBONY, JET, Black Enterprise and Crain’s Detroit magazines.

As a sought-after speaker on issues relating to energy as well as an advocate for the city of Detroit, Carla Walker-Miller has a strong commitment to her community. She is humbled by her success and excited to be at the forefront of Michigan’s energy landscape.

As the Walker-Miller Energy Services customer base continued to expand rapidly, we turned to Greg Walker, a 30-year Leadership expert to ensure that Walker-Miller would not only have the ability to scale our operational offerings, but would be able to maintain our unique culture, credibility and value proposition that have driven our success in the marketplace.

Greg’s reputation for his ability to develop and motivate teams that achieve business objectives in a variety of environments proved beneficial for large organizations such as Home Depot, Sears, Wal-Mart and Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.  We’re equally excited by Greg’s ability to merge corporate cultures, values, and best practices with strong cohesive teams committed to achieving mutually beneficial goals, objectives and performance targets for our customer partners.

Greg is focused on improving all operational aspects within our organization as well as national customer and employee growth and retention for Walker -Miller.  Greg holds a bachelor’s degree from the New York Institute of Technology and a master’s degree from Gonzaga University.  He also served our country as a Non-Commissioned Offer in theUnited States Air Force.
